This was my worst experience ever in dealing with someone I paid to do work for me.
My wife and I recently moved to Las Vegas to a new house that was being built when I made the mistake of calling East West Blinds and Shutters and Mark White came over.
We wanted Shutters throughout the house and A large blind for the Patio. At this point we liked Mark and decided to use his company. He started measuring all the windows.
In the guest bedroom he said you have such a beautiful view of the Mountain I recommend this Homey Comb pull up shades for the Two Windows.
Now this was his recommendation
We agreed and gave him half of the cost to start the process so in Two Months when we move in we would have our window treatments up.
About a week before we got two calls one from the Shutter installer and the other from the Blind installer. We had each of them come and do the installations. We paid the balance due to East West to one of them.
Everything look great and a day before we moved in I was showing a new neighbor how the Blinds in the Guest Bedroom work, NOW IS WHEN MY PROBLEM WITH EAST WESt BEGINS
On using the cord with the the larger blind the cord sort of snapped the blind was hanging on a slant. So I called Mark and left a message telling him what happened. He texted me back he would call me the next day. That Never Happened.
I called back a few days later left message never heard from him.
My wife then called his office and spoke to his mother and we still did not here from him.
East West was recommended by our Real Estate Agent. My wife called her and told her our story so far with East West it gets Worse.
Guess what Mark White called my wife back now this is over 2 weeks that this is going on. He is now coming over to our house.
In the interim we notice that these Honey Comb Blinds that Mark White Recommended let in about 40 percent light in the room from the light next to our garage.
When he finally did come he said the Blinds had a child proof pull and his fix was to Scotch the Pull.
About the light coming in he said he would contact the Manufacturer to see what they could do. A week goes by and I have to call him to see what is going on he said the manufacturer could not do anything.
Now he offers to make us Shutters for the two windows and sends me a quotation.
He did not offer to do anything about his mistake in the pricing for the two Shutters.
In my research the Honey Comb Blinds should have been made with a light block out in them.
Needless to say his quote for the 2 shutters from the same manufacturer was 25 percent higher then from someone else which we did have done.
I Have taken my loss of MONEY for the 2 new Shutters and just discarded the Blinds.
My advice is if you have a problem with East West BLinds You will have problem.
