  • Please excuse me for starting this review with a reader's digest version of my situation. I was injured in 2009 at the gym lifting free weights. I was 44 yrs old at the time of injury. Over the next 8 years I had a series of 6 surgeries to repair damage from the injury. I had a pain so sharp and so deep in my right buttocks. No one could ever find anything. How could something so painful be so difficult to find. I went to a total of 5 pain management doctors over the 8 years. They would all do what they were trained to do and when it didn't relieve my pain, I was deemed a difficult patient and ended up moving on. I watched the pendulum swing hard and fast from helping people in pain to telling them to exercise to alleviated pain. I have L4-L5-S1 fused in my lower lumbar, my right SI joint fused, right outside bursa removed and a nerve stim installed and removed when recalled! I still had horribly sharp, constant, unrelenting pain! If I owned a firearm I may not be here, it was that bad at times............. OK here is the good stuff I reluctantly set up an appointment with Dr. Davenport based on a suggestion from my Primary (nothing against Dr. Davenport, I had just been to so many "Pain" people). We did a couple of test I had done before, however he thoroughly read my past medical records and knew what I had been through. Within a relatively short period of time, Dr. Davenport correctly diagnosed me when none of his peers had been able to for years. When the doctor injected medicine in the proper area, my pain completely disappeared. I cried! I owe a better quality of life to him and his staff!
