| - I went in to Cabinets Now Plus and got an amazing quote. I should have known it was too good to be true. I gave them my measurements and told them that I needed to have my old countertops removed, particle board added to the counters along with a sink and faucet. They showed me around, let me pick out my items and then gave me an awesome quote of $2320. Apparently, this is a bait and switch deal to get you in and excited. I set up an install date and came in two days later with an envelope full of cash. Once there, I was told that I needed an additional piece of granite. I thought that this may be the case, so I was fully prepared to purchase another piece. I have no issue in paying for materials that I need. The Sales Manager, Janice, advised me that the additional granite piece was $399. Perfect. Then, she looked and said that they forgot to add on my demolition and trash removal fee. I advised them from the start that I needed this and was advised by Ben that it was included in the original quote. She told me that now that I am buying more granite, they would not give me the special price anymore and I had to pay for the sink polishing fee. Me adding a third piece of granite has nothing to do with the sink that I was ALREADY getting and they even helped me pick out the very first time I went in! Why am I getting a fee for this now? Just an FYI, this place is not like other places. Normally, the more you buy, the deeper the discount. In their case, the more you buy, the more fees you will be charged. I was handed a piece of paper with a quote that was over $1000 more than the original and all I did was add a $399 piece of granite. Maybe I am not understanding this correctly, but I tried to have them explain it and it just isn't adding up. I was told to go with another company because they would not work anything out with me. I asked for the owner 4 times and was told, "He doesn't want to deal with problems like this." I asked them nicely if they would rather have $2800 or no money and they said they would rather not have any money.
