Now that AMCs have recliner seating and a mini bar, it's really hard to stand out as an "independent" theatre. We ordered tickets through Fandango for a 9:45am showing on a Sunday and we have missed feelings about the experience. Upon arrival we wanted to order a beer (Sunday Funday!), but the employees were still setting up and hadn't signed into any computers. We waited patiently and browsed their 30+ options while chatting with the bartender until they were ready for us. Having waited there 15 minutes or so and having the staff comment on how they needed to get there earlier for service, we were not given any discount or even apologized to. We paid our bill and went and sat down in the theatre. I loved how the theatre focused on ZERO tolerance for noise and doesn't allow children in most movies. Having to write down our order was a bit weird, but I guess you can order in person if you get there early enough. We split the fried dill pickles (yum!) and the pretzel with mustard and cheese. The pretzel and mustard was good, but the cheese was very out of place. It would have been better served with chips- they were definitely trying to keep one type of melted cheese on the menu and it didn't work well. The seats were large and the table was enough room for food and drinks. You'd think they'd go recliner option to stay current since it's so new, but these are just standard chairs. We will personally be sticking with AMC for their comfort, ease of ticket purchasing, amazing rewards club and will just eat before the movie.
