| - We went to our first PHX Coyotes hockey game here last week, and again yesterday. Now that I remember, we had been to this stadium before for M's graduation ceremony.
Parking was ample and FREE! The stadium is set near plenty of restaurants and a couple nice hotels. The entrances are marked clearly and it is pretty easy to find your section. If you do have trouble there are plenty of workers to help you find your way.
FOOD! There is food from around the world (and beer from around the world, too!) Hooters, Wienerschnitzel, Oggi's, Tortilla Flats, to name a few. Plus, there are the old standbys of pretzels, churros, popcorn, nachos, peanuts, and ice cream.
We sat toward the bottom @ rows W last week and M yesterday. We preferred the W row as it allowed us a better view of the entire rink. All in all, there are good seats no matter where you are in the stadium.
Restrooms are plentiful also. We enjoyed the between period activities where audience members dressed up as giant pucks, had to put on a frozen folded t-shirt, shoot pucks, or throw balls into the trunk of a taxi with drunk goggles on. At the end of the game yesterday, they laid rugs and let the little kids shoot pucks into the goals.
This stadium is used for concerts, too. Come early or stay late to enjoy food/drink at one of the great restaurants located around the stadium. Just don't plan to hang out inside the stadium. The stairwell "guards" kick you out within 10 minutes of the game ending! Last night an old guy says, "Good night, folks, time to go home." At least he didn't say, "Get yer crap and get out!" ha ha.
