| - So my air conditioner conked out earlier this week (It's been a long week of various electrical goods in my house breaking down for inexplicable reasons - A friend attributes it to "mercury in retrograde" - I call B.S.).
While it has been an unusually chilly year in Vegas thus far, one can feel the hints of heat creeping in. I was at a crossroads: See if the cold weather last for a while, or risk not having A/C when it's 120 degrees outside.
Hahahahaha. No.
Regardless, having one of those nifty home warranties actually helps, so I was recommended to this company. They gave me a time frame to work with today, and they'd call me before hand.
Sure enough, I got a call this morning, and within a few minutes, the repair guy and his partner were here. Quick, efficient and to the point, they immediately diagnosed what was wrong, and I swear that i turned away for a second, and they had already replaced my shorted-out control unit.
The repair guy pointed out that I needed new filters, gave a quick run-down on how to work my unit, and like Santa Claus, was gone in a flash. You know, if Santa Claus were to specialize in air conditioning units and not toys (What kind of messed up Christmas tradition would that be?).
The new unit works fine and was done quickly and painlessly. I'm enjoying the cooler air once more. Now to get all of my other dead appliances repaired/replaced.
