PNG was scheduled to turn the gas on on 1/3. They called me when they were on the way. I told them that our contractor should be there, but if not, to call my husband. I gave them his number.
The next day, I went by the town home and found a note from the PNG guy saying "No one was here. Waited 30 minutes then left." He did not call the number that I gave him- that he allegedly pulled over to write down. My husband works 2 miles away and was ready to go over there. Why would he even take the number if he wasn't going to call it? Could it be that he would rather sit there for 30 minutes and not have to do any work than make a phone call?
Now it's supposed to be 5 degrees tomorrow, and we have no gas. Our pipes are likely to burst.
I called customer service this morning to ask if they could come out on an emergency basis. Terrance, a particularly unhelpful customer service agent, asked if we had a gas leak. Um, no, Terrance, we don't. Our gas is not on.
Terrible customer service. But we don't have a choice in our gas company, so this post is likely a waste of time.
