| - "What would You Move Me need to do to earn a better recommendation?"
Become professional movers. It takes more than a friendly demeanor to be a good mover. As hard as you guys tried, the crew you sent to us was new to the basics of moving.
Only an amateur would put packing tape directly onto wood furniture, and appliances. Only and amateur would use a bungie cord, (not a strap) to secure heavy items (which fell and were damaged on the trip).
There was no packer on the truck - each of the 5 movers just decided where he'd pack something, then the next would decide where he'd pack something, until the truck was a mess and they had to spend an hour unpacking the truck, to re-pack it. The day as a mess and went way longer than the estimator estimated. They finally sent a manager to the site to do damage control. When billing time came, YMM came through, apologized, and compensated by deducting some time from the bill. Regardless, as nice as most of the crew and management were, this unprofessional packing style needs to be remedied.
They're a booming company, and hiring many new workers (one with rather unpleasant attitude). Regardless, they need to train these new folks and always, always have a more senior worker on site to manage the move.
Best of luck to you guys in the future.
