After eating a wonderful donut, I wandered around trying to burn some of the donut out of my belly. I wandered over here and entered the park. The giant preying Mantis greeted me. From what I understand, it blasts huge gouts of fire at sunset. While that'd be cool to see, a thirty foot long metal mantis is a pretty cool thing to see on it's own. After photographing the thing, I wandered into the stores.
There are three levels of stores of assorted items, trinkets and foods. They all seem to be constructed from old shipping containers. There is also a way cool playground in the middle, and one of the stores is in an old train at the far end of the park. Which is also cool. As I wandered around the stores however, I discovered that I didn't really need anything from any of them. They were all kinda earthy crunchy hippy things. If I hadn't just eaten my fill of donuts, I might have tried some of the restaurants in here.
There was a meat and hot sauce store. That one was interesting and the most likely one I would buy from. But the giant bug, the way cool playground and old train. Super cool. I'd be back to see the mantis spew fire into the sky.
The place is super cool. It's free to get into, and super fun to poke around in. The shops just weren't my cup of tea.
