Traveling for work I make food stops throughout the northeast and southeast corridors, but whenever I get even slightly close to uptown Charlotte again I gather up friends and head to this place. It feels a little like a pub, cozy but still very family friendly. There is a nice bar plus tables and booths for a choice of seating. It's fun, it doesn't get super loud and you can still hear and talk easily with each other at the table, which is part of the attraction too.
As for the food - everything we've tried has been to die for. Last week we all ordered something different for tasting - Burgers, chicken, tuna plate with their special broccoli slaw, and the spicy crab soup!!! Only shared a tiny bit of my soup, but it was enough for the taster to decide to order his own lol. Have always loved Charleston she crab soup, but have come to love AM's even more. Service is spot on - the local community is beautiful and great for a walk after your meal. Definitely a place to put on your list if ever in the area.
