| - Nice, reasonable place to stay. Not the glitzy, new place, but definitely comfortable and a convenient location. We used the money we saved by staying here instead of the Paris to treat ourselves to a massage and Elton John concert.
Definitely different clientele than the Bellagio that I stayed at the last time I was here for fun (4-5 years ago). Yes, there is a $36 /night resort fee, but that seems to be the standard situation here in Vegas. The only unfortunate thing is that the pool was closed when we were there so not sure why it was so high. Or perhaps that is a discount from the normal summer prices when their pool is open?
Either way, we spent a day shopping at the Fashion Mall (across the street) and Grand Canal Shops in the Venetian. Spent another one walking around, getting a massage, etc. The current display in the lobby is the Avatar S.T.A.T.I.O.N digital museum/game that was free for us since we stayed here.
Like someone else mentioned there is a CVS in the hotel that is open 24 hours, a Starbucks right outside of the hotel (also open 24 hours), and several different restaurants; however, we found eating at restaurants outside of this casino/hotel enabled us to better enjoy the eating experience since here it seems to be extremely full of smoke everywhere!
