| - I hate this company with a burning passion. I order items online all the time as I am the Queen of Lazy Town and I hate going to the store. I've never had an issue until now! I was expecting an Apple computer to be delivered to my house that needed to be signed for. I saw that it was to be delivered on a specific date and took the whole day off of work. I sat around, my day off work a prisoner to my house, and checked online repeatedly to watch my package state "out for delivery". In boredom I started researching online when I saw the complaints of people stating the drivers would pass their house without actually dropping off any packages. Just in case, althought it was 7pm, my package was still out for delivery so I decided to open my door and move my couch next to the door. Ah, the refreshing feel of sitting next to an open oven door, yup that's phoenix in the summer. And while sitting in the heat of hell I thought it would be a fun time to call OnTrac and sit on hold until grey hairs sprouted out.
I have no clue how OnTrac is still in business as I decided to investigate their reviews in other states on yelp and reviews on amazon in many states. Then I just decided to google them on every website I could find because I'm a career internet stalker (currently single) and nothing but negative statements across the board.
Just so everyone knows eventually my package arrived. And I never hung up the phone on OnTrac as I wanted to see how long it would take them to answer and lets just say I gave up at 2 hrs. When OnTrac did arrive it was in a normal van with no markings, as normal as an axe murders van could possibly look. Nice and dirty, run down, slowly lurking past my house without indicatings marking it belonged to OnTrac. The van was beaten up as if it were their personal vehicle which was odd because I've seen the real OnTrac vans as they cut me off on the roads every day. I've seen perverts offering me candy as a child with better looking vans. FYI, to those making complaints that they don't see the delivery truck pull past their house, it could be true they did, they simply drove past your house as it looks like a regular vehicle and not a company car.
When I saw the van pull up I ran outside and yelled out to the man scanning and setting a package down and asked him if he worked with OnTrac. The package size did not match at all and I could see it said AmazonPrime on it. I quickly picked up the box and chased him back to his van door, because going to a kidnappers van door in the dark is super smart, and let him know that the real owner of the package did not live at my address but that he might want to deliver it to them next as it's already been scanned as delivered.
I asked him for my package and he jumped in his van and hunted everywhere for it. I gave him the dimensional size and let him know he can't miss it as it's a 27 inch computer screen and the box will be larger than 27 inches. He found my package, handed it to me, it had a dent/gash in the box. I ran inside and opened up the computer to make sure the screen wasn't broken. The screen was hot to the touch, meaning it's been in their hot non-air-conditioned van all day. Computer don't do well in heat!
Immediately after getting my package I contacted Apple and begged them not to send my second computer by way of OnTrac which they promised they wouldn't after I told them of my horrific experience.
I can't wait for the day this company is bought out or goes under. I'm going to do a happy dance when that happens.
8/7/15 update:
I completely forgot that I emailed them days and days ago asking where my package was. I didn't get a response until today which does me no good because I've already found the package myself. But in the email they sent me it was them informing me that they couldn't give me any information on my package even though I had a tracking number. They basically told me if I wanted to know any information I needed to contact the company because they wouldn't tell me a thing and they were supposedly not permitted to divulge the information to me. What is the point of a tracking number and online updates stalking the package through every state like a 13 year old cyber stalking a boy band, if OnTrac could not tell me further information? There has to be a worst company on the planet award and I think they have their eye on it.
