Crowded house is not only an underrated 80s band; its also an apt description for this place. I come here because a couple social groups have this as their designated place to meet. While it's not a terrible place I wish those groups would pick somewhere else less congested. After going to similar bars like your Hickory Tavern, Fox & Hound, Jocks N Jills, etc. where parking is ample and in most cases a bigger bar area. Here parking can be a nightmare with all the sports in the lot occupied during bigger events. During events with larger groups its often difficult to get a server's attention. To be the clear the staff clearly works very hard- some of them doing a lot running up and down steps- but with limited space and too many people its difficult for them to provide quality service. Given that in terms of price, menu offerings and food quality there's really not a big difference from these and the aforementioned places I don't know why you would pick this place during popular bar hours unless you have a thing for enjoy parking lot congestion and having to elbow people away to get to the bathroom. With Sunday ticket Panthers fans would be well advised to stay clear of this place when pretty every bar in town will have the game.
