  • I decided to visit Aveda based on positive reviews from Yelp, as well as the extraordinarily cheap price ($17 for a cut that promises to include a wash and dry, a hand and arm massage, make up touch up, and mini facial). There's also a 20% off coupon when you check in on Yelp, but unfortunately I didn't realize until AFTER I made my appointment that it's for Monday-Thursday ONLY. Make sure you call ahead for an appointment! My first mistake was going in on a Saturday afternoon. The place was PACKED with stressed stylists. I didn't have to wait very long for my appointment (only five minutes, and I was early) but my stylist, though sweet and talkative, was tired after already having been on her feet cutting hair for eight hours. I definitely feel like she rushed through my cut. She quickly washed my hair, briefly gave me a hand and arm massage (as well as the mini facial), and then trimmed my hair. Fortunately her teacher took more time giving attention to my split ends. I never received a make-up touchup and I felt like my stylist just couldn't wait for me to leave so she could go home, which is never a good feeling when it comes to your hair! I will give this place another try but it will definitely be on a Monday-Thursday MORNING when hopefully my stylist can give my hair more attention and I can use my Yelp deal!
