| - It's a hot day, 108. Took the boys to Adventuredome for some indoor fun. Let's face it, signage is horrible. So, we ask the bike patrol officer where is the best place to drop them off. He doesn't want to stop, seems annoyed at me for asking a question, stays at least 10 feet away, then begins berating me. Instead of simple and nicely answering my simple question, he asks his own. "How old are they?" "They have to be 15, or you have to with them".
Now I'm really biting my tongue. I'm an adult and called ahead of time to check age, was told 14. I'm not going to argue with him. Finally, he very vaguely and reluctantly tells me where to drop them off.
One kid says, "Is he having a bad day?"
Another says, "it seems like he doesn't like his job very much".
So here's a message for you young military wanna be (should never be) cop punk bike patrol officer:
We are guests. You work in hospitality. Start acting like it and treat people with respect. I don't know if your girlfriend just broke up with in a text, or your shoelaces are too tight, or someone called out sick and you need a break. Please don't ever treat people like that. I'm going to cut you a break. But next time, I will call your boss.
