| - Oh IKEA, from your Swedish meatballs to your endless options of space saving furniture, I heart you. I heart you even more during your non peak hours.
I don't frequent IKEA often, maybe twice a year to check things out. The displays give me ideas for staying organized, never mind that I always want to come home with the entire room. One thing IKEA has taught me over the years is self-restraint, especially after I went in for a duvet cover and came out with the cover, sheets, pillow cases and pillows (7 in all).
I'm a big fan of their plastic storage boxes. Super cheap, easily stackable and you can see right through the plastic to know what's inside.
My trip is never complete without a visit to the cafeteria for some meat balls. On my last visit, it was apparently the stop for a cheap birthday party meal as well. The woman in front of me had 12 kids meals, and it totaled $27.83. Where else on earth are you going to feed 12 children for under $30?
If I haven't hit the cafeteria upstairs, you can bet I've made my way downstairs for a 50 cent hot dog. It sure doesn't beat a Costco hot dog, but hey, the price is right. In fact, that would sum up everything about IKEA. Smart solutions with thought to style as well, easy to assemble, and priced so even university kids can afford it. What's not to like?
