  • Raptors everywhere! Chris Bosh in big screens! In small TVs in every booths! Even on the floor! Well not everywhere, other sports games were on too. But yup, 'nuff TVs! Definitely a good spot to catch a Raps game when they are away. Given that we are in a hockey town, well in a hockey country, there's really not that many bars in downtown Toronto that plays Raptors games and specially non Raptors related basketball games. Some bars will play it, but in one of their small screen TVs and all you can hear is how bad the Leafs are ( don't shoot me, I may someday have kids). Don't get me wrong, I love sports in general, and I support the Leafs too ( hmmm not really ) but when I watch a Raptors game, I want to hear A Raptors game. At Hoops, they don't just play Raptors on their big screens, you can even hear Vince Carter whine after getting blocked by Bargnani! (well didn't really happen, but you get the point) Food wise, I've had better bar food. Portions are quite small and expensive. They have good beer selections, just don't expect the finest beer from Belgium or Czech. If you're looking for a spot to catch a game or a fight with the boys and girls, Hoops is where its at. If you are looking for quality food and drinks, skip Hoops, and go a little down south of Yonge St., left on either Wellington or Front or Esplanade and hit St. Lawrence.
