  • So we reserved a room for $99 a night but when we went to check out our bill was so loaded with charges that the room turned out to be $150 a night. When we explained that we knew nothing of these extraneous charges we were told that they were explained to us when we checked in. I was there and no, I'm sorry, those charges were not explained. By the way, that complimentary valet they tell you is a part of your room is actually costing you $24 a day! What?? How is it complimentary again?? The bad thing was how they handled it. Look I'm not expecting a reduced room rate or anything for free, but for your guest to be upset and for you, as a guest services company, to not even offer to take one of those $24 "complimentary" valet charges off is really disappointing. We really like the Pointe, have stayed here many a time, but probably won't be back because it left such a horrible taste in our mouths. And yes, I will warn other people about the actual cost of the rooms here. So, to whomever is reading this, beware! Lots of extra charges:(. And poor, poor service:(.
