I am sure a three star will surprise some, so let me start at the end by starting they lost a full star for service (or the lack there of) and the value (too much price for too little).
I decided to explore and hit the Brasserie V this evening. It was recommended by a couple I had meet at Ale Asylum and had good reviews on Yelp.
I was eating light, thus only ordered an appetizer, the Belgium meatballs; they are absolutely delicious...all 4 of them (value issue). The beer I chose, a Scotch Ale on tap, was also delicious as well, all 10 oz for 11$ (value issue). So food and beer was great, but that darn value issue.
The service was sub-par, as it felt like I was wearing my cloak of invisibility. I sat at the bar and waited about 5 minutes to be acknowledged and it was not that busy. After getting a menu, it was not too bad to place my order, but I really think she forgot about me as she poured several beers other beers before mine. It was such a gap that the other bartender asked if I had been waited on. Then the worst service came after I had finished by food and my beer. I did not see the bartender for 10 minutes and I finally flagged her down and just got the check.
I may try again. Good service would have partially overcome the value issue.
