| - For the past few months I have been receiving a call from these guys at different hours of the day (sometimes as late a 11 pm on a weekday!!!). They often tell me that I personally handed in a form at the bridal spectacular over a year ago and that I won some kind of elaborate prize and I need to give them private information in order to claim it.
Everytime these individuals have called me, I have answered, and politely told them I was not interested and to please take my number off whatever list they have. And yet they still call.
Yesterday, a very rude woman called me from this "company" during dinner hours on a Wednesday, and tried to "remind" me that I had entered into a drawing at the bridal spectacular and that I'd won. I was extremely annoyed, as I was in the middle of dinner when she called (several times, mind you) so I hung up on her, hoping they would finally take the hint. I felt it wasn't worth wasting my breath over while in the middle of dinner with my family, especially because I knew they would just call again eventually.
After I hung up, she called back once again, and I just let it go to voicemail. Afterwards, I checked my voicemail and this is what she said, "It's real RUDE to hang up in people's face!! If you're not interested you should just tell me, but because you hung up, I'm going to make sure we call you even more now!"
First off, you should be used to being hung up on, especially when you're calling repeatedly during dinner hours. Secondly, I have played the nice game with these people- requesting time and time again for them to stop calling me- and they continue to call anyway despite my efforts.
Thirdly, what kind of "company" threatens its customers like this? No good company that relys on the business of others for either product or service would contact them over and over and then acknowledge that they know you're not interested, but then harrass you for the fact.
Lastly, I called the lady back after receiving her voicemail. I was fuming angry. However, when I called, the number went to a voicemail box that stated they did not accept incoming calls. What kind of business doesn't accept incoming calls?
