  • Now called Jake's Unlimited, we stopped here on a Friday night in January 2018 to see the new renovations as well as what we thought was going to be "After Dark Adult Time", only to find out kids are still allowed. I was really impressed by the beautiful renovations, it must have costs millions of dollars. Taking out those awful carpets and putting in beautiful flooring makes a big difference. Nice color scheme. They removed some walls, leaving just three of the original dining areas. All the rides have been moved, the racetrack gone. A new bowling alley and two new bars. Lots of additional places to sit and eat! Not so happy with the pricing. Guess they have to pay for all the renovations some how. I will take my money to Golden Corral for that price and eat steak! Disappointed that what I thought was going to be adult time was over run by screaming, running, out of control kids. I also want to point out that I also had a problem with my throat feeling like it was closing. It was getting scratchy, making me cough as if something was in it and we were there only a very short time to walk around to see the changes. I had to leave. It took about 30 minutes in fresh air for me to get the coughing and scratchy feeling in my throat to stop. I have to wonder if something in the renovations has VOC's in the air? I could not stay in there any longer. Jake's also would not honor our previous Amazing Jake's Discount card sold by the Boy Scouts even though all they did was renovate and change their name. All the same owners. I doubt we will ever come back to this place ever again. It's really a shame after all of the beautiful work they have done.
