FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE FTC.
Let me start with this, everyone who has a complaint NEEDS to file a complaint with the FTC. If enough complaints are filed the FTC will investigate and fine the company. AT&T just paid out a few million to customers because the FTC's investigation found that the complaints were valid.
Cox disconnected all of my services while I out of town. I came home to find out it was disconnected two days prior and they say my account is paid through the end of July but it was disconnected "at the customer's request." Well, I'm the customer and I did NOT order a disconnect of my cable and certainly not my internet. My cable is paid by my HOA and should absolutely never be disconnected at the box, but it was so they can't just flip a switch and turn it on, I have to wait for a tech. After 2 hours on the phone with their customer service the rep tells me they'll have it reconnected yesterday. Yesterday I saw the Cox truck drive past and figure all is right again but I check and still no internet service and no cable. So I call Cox again and they tell me the tech could not find the box to reconnect. I tell tell them the tech lied and was lazy because the box is across the street from my house and I can see it. Now they tell me they can't fix the problem that some idiot incompetent customer service rep caused to start with until - wait for it . . . AUGUST 2nd!!! I'm going over my data daily and it's costing me a fortune. This is the worst company. As soon as I can get to a wifi location I will be filing yet another complaint with the FTC.
