Dundas Video located by Dundas & Bathurst, is like a 90s fever dream with various consoles from the era available like the N64, PlayStation and Super Nintendo available to play. Various 80s and 90s films are projected up on a big screen. It's as if all the memories from my childhood had morphed into a glorious dive bar.
I decided to stop by after a show at the Garrison. When I went, there a good mix of hip hop and Gremlins playing in the background. It's literally as if a basement in the late 90s had turned into a dive, and I mean that in the absolute best way possible. The atmosphere is incredible.
All you do is ask the bartender for the game you want to play and that's it, everything is completely free to play.
The selection of beer is great, all craft and all are only $6.50. It's all tall cans, nothing on draught, I know mixed drinks are also available but I didn't have any. Also heads up DV is cash only but there's an ATM available.
This place is a hidden gem among Toronto dives, up there with the best of them. Dundas Video has become my new favorite bar.
