Aging, not quite gracefully.
It's not a terrible hotel by any means; friendly staff, charming inside and out, and the functional kitchen is good for the longer stays--and the breakfast nook is perfect for small group meetings (unfortunately).
But there are some broken, outdated, or just plain weird things. All rooms:
* Cable TV source isn't HD; picture is fuzzy and stretched.
* No outlets on nightstand, no USB charging ports.
* Breakfast items have been parred down--I miss the tomato/salsa sauce.
* inconvenient Internet--doesn't work well with iPhone's password save.
* Last year, bad WiFi speed in multiple rooms, but this year (current stay) is good so far.
* The "Do not disturb" sign that can't seem to stay on the door handle...
Current room:
* Bathroom fan takes a while to spin up.
* Bedroom TV or remote not working.
Past rooms:
* broken lights
* broken dish washer
(Pretty much every room has something small broken or not working well.)
Would I stay here again? Yeah, it is really close to where I need to go, and the rooms work well enough. The outdated appliances don't bother me much--when they work.
But I can't say I love it here.
