| - I'm giving two stars because 1) it tastes good, and 2) The employees are well intentioned and trying, but I think lack of training or proper management is hindering them. First very inefficient system of ordering and completing orders. They should stand at the other rolled ice cream place on Flamingo and observe for a while what it looks like when done well. Multiple people left while we were there when they saw how inefficient the line was. It's not about length, since I've waited plenty long at the other rolled ice cream place. But if you don't see progress the wait becomes unbearable. Then employees should be trained to adjust for customers needs... I asked for a rolled ice cream with Oreo and caramel. I got a whole lecture on how they don't do orders that way, I have to start with one of their pre-made choices and add and subtract toppings to get what I want. So I was told I had to order a #3 and then subtract chocolate and add caramel. This was after a back and forth for a while because I was very confused on the menu directions and not understanding why I kept being told I couldn't have Oreo and caramel. So why make me go through this? I'm sure it's because the point of sale system is setup that way, but I don't need to know all that as a customer. You can make the adjustments on the register any way you need to, and just tell me no problem. Why go through this painstaking process of make me redo the order (while an enormous line is waiting) so that I can regurgitate it the way your system needs it. I would go crazy if one of my employees did this to a customer, especially when the line setup creates a bottle neck at this point. At the end of the day we wasted a lot of time debating this just to end up with what I asked for originally... ice cream with Oreo and caramel. Who can understand it. The other thing knocking stars off is the rolled ice cream itself. If you've never had it before, then sure it tastes great. However, if you've had it before you can see these employees are not trained on proper technique. The toppings are not crushed properly to create a flat sheet... my Oreos were left in big chunks. This then causes the rolls to not roll properly. None of the ice creams I saw had the proper tight rolls that look almost like flowers. These were wide and almost like pamphlets. Again, employee effort was there, but I think the training here fell apart. Finally, the flavor variety is lacking. Only vanilla. My favorite flavor is coffee when I've gone to other rolled shops. In short, I'll probably wait at least a year before trying this place again; if they are still around then I know they'll have worked out these kinks. In the meantime, there's a rolled ice cream place on flamingo near Grand Canyon that is 5 star quality, so despite the long lines they have I will be making the wait.
