Hi folks. I had a chance to play Tres Rios Golf Course in Goodyear, Arizona. What a pleasant surprise! It's about 30 minutes West of downtown Phoenix out in Goodyear and traffic was a touch heavy because of the new 202 interchange being built.
First, let me say that the course was easy to find and booking a tee time was very easy on the internet. You can also call the course directly and get the same prices, so you can save some money on fees.
We played middle tees at 6500 yards and had to wait on a few holes for players to hit and move on, but mostly, pace of play was great.
Didn't see a beverage person but the club house restaurant had great sandwiches and drinks.
The fairways were well groomed, and grass was soft. The greens were in great shape! There were very few ball marks and the surface was rolled and smooth.
The only reason for 4 stars was the distance from downtown and lack of a beverage cart. Please go play Tres Rios course! It's a great bargain, easy to find and has plenty of challenge.
