Generally the lines are pretty fast, contrary to what some other reviewers said.
Some of the staff can be very personable and helpful, while others seem to have a chip on their shoulder and it shows... Perhaps they have a hostile work environment to deal with?
Watch out for the forklift drivers. They whip around the store at unsafe speeds and it seems to be up to the customers to get out of their way... Somebody is bound to get hurt sooner or later.
The email ahead order picking leaves a lot of room for improvement... When executed properly, it is a great time-saver and a plus not to need to navigate the store and the dangerous forklift drivers. However you need to ensure that you send a knowledgeable staff person or go yourself to double check your order. In the past several months of having RD pick our order, there have ALWAYS been multiple mistakes... An entire case of something we only ordered 1 unit of... 1 unit of something we needed an entire case of.... A similar but higher priced version of what we actually ordered... Missing items... Something altogether different from what we ordered.. You name it! Depending on how bad it is, you can spend just as much time fixing their order pickers' mistakes as you would have navigating the store yourself. Plus I always feel like a tool leaving all of their mistakes behind for another staff person to need to clean up after.
That being said, their prices are almost always significantly better than our other suppliers, and we haven't came across much that we haven't been pleased with quality-wise! If you are a smaller operation and/or just getting on your feet, this place offers quality product and amazing prices. Even with my gripes about them I will continue to shop there and hopefully they will use this in-put and others to make a few improvements.
