| - Growing up with Japanese and Korean cuisine, I crave a certain taste from my childhood...and I couldn't find that in Vegas until I dinned at Soyo Korean Barstaurant.
Soyo is not afraid to take on the Korean street foods that attract college students, but they also do a wonderful job with the hearty and traditional dishes that bring the daddies and mommies out with their children. SKB has a young, vibrant staff that speaks both English and Korean.
A few of my favorites are:
Soon Dae Bokk Eum...stir fired korean blood pork sausage and vegetables with hot sauce
O Daeng Tang...fish cake soup with steamed radish
Kim Chi Jyun...korean traditional kimchi pancake
Soon Doo Boo Jji Gae...spicy soft-tofu soup with seafood (but you can choose beef, pork, or vegetables also)
Rice is always cooked perfect...easy to overlook, but I appreciate how well they consistently do it. Their complimentary Barley tea is great also. Occasionally, we order Soju-cocktails...yogurt is our favorite...drinks so smoothly and easily that it could get you in trouble sometimes.
SKB has an extensive menu...featuring over 60 items arranged as: entrée, noodles, soup, casseroles, tapas, new menu, and desserts...there is not even one item I would not want to try but my stomach is not that big, so I am content to come back with my love and try them one at a time.
