We just had a top-class experience with Peterson's Video Transfer, a lovely outfit staffed by decent persons who care about their fellow human beings. My husband contacted Peterson's on behalf of a friend who had but one taped record of a long interview with her precious mother, who passed away some years ago. As you doubtless know, VHS tapes degrade over time: they are sometimes very badly affected by heat and humidity; old-tech tapes of this kind must be stored with care--this particular example was not, for a host of perfectly legitimate reasons. All of this was explained to Scott, Joan and Clemente, three fine professionals who work in various roles for Mr Peterson, whose eponymous firm agreed to take on the job of transferring dinosaur-age compromised media to a more dependable and durable DVD format. Mr Peterson himself also took a hand in the process (this tasteful gent obviously cares about his clients), whilst his staff tackled our difficult project with pleasant enthusiasm. My husband and I really like these good folks. Peterson's Video Transfer as a whole is one of the good guys--most highly recommended in every sense!
