| - I've been coming to Paymon's for awhile now for lunches during the work week and it's always been bomb.com... Time to give some props with the details of this past lunch visit with the work crew celebrating the department "mom's" birthday. Lunch party of 6 please...
Service: 5/5 Shout out to our server "Robert B" and the efficient kitchen staff who took care of us with a full lunch crowd. After taking our order, in about ten minutes the Pesto Hummus, Side Fries and Dinner salad were on the table. Less than 7 minutes later, everyone had their individual entrees. Robert stopped by frequently to make sure everyone's waters and Ice Teas were fresh. I had to take home about 1/4 of my Giro Platter and he packaged it up for me. They brought out the complimentary Birthday Baklava with extra spoons to share. From sitting down to closing the bill, the whole lunch experience was under 1 hour WITH the extra birthday dessert. Fantastic....#1 af!
Food: 4.5/5 The freshness of the vegetables and the high quality of the ingredients utilized has always stayed consistent with my lunch visits at Paymon's. Today we went with the:
Pesto Hummus Full sized: The Pesto compliments the hummus so well and both were very fresh. They came out with 2 half slices pita bread for size of us and asked if we wanted more.
Athens Fries: Seasoned fries that were fresh but not too hot. The Seasoning and the dipping sauce is amazing. Has the same effect on me that the Caine's sauce has, but I digress..
Gyros Platter: The plate was huge and covered evenly with the pilaf, meat and the salad. The thinly sliced Rotisserie beef and lamb was very tasty. Delicious. The Vermicelli pilaf complimented the meats and the house salad on the side was fresh with a nice dressing. So much food I had to take some home. (see pic)
Value: 5/5 Great value for the quality of food and the portions I received.
$3.25 Athens Fries half size.
$8.50 Full sized Pesto Humus that was enough for our party of 6
$12.95 Gyros platter that had so much food I had to take some home. For those that know me, they'll know how powerful a statement that is as my tolerance for eating through fullness is 4 out of 5 stars on a bad day. ijs..
Ambiance: 4/5 Smartly decorated with Mediterranean art and accents throughout the restaurant. The tables and chairs were spaced perfectly to walk through a full restaurant without bumping into anyone. Entrees served on big plates which I always appreciate. I can get claustrophobic when it comes to food on my plate. I'm working on it...
Summary: I still have yet to stop by for dinner but I see a dinner visit coming soon as EVERY lunch experience I've had so far has been a positive one. They have Italian, Greek, Middle Eastern/International and Indian entrees. I haven't tried any of their Italian dishes but that is absolutely happening on the next mf visit. The menu is extensive, food is tasty and the service has been consistently good. I see a visit to the Hookah lounge coming too, but that is another yelp story...enjoy... =)
