| - Completely UNPROFESSIONAL! Stay away! I ordered a U-haul truck and used the online add on for moving help services, that is how Sunseri Moving began the process of ruining my day and my move. My job was a small one, about 2 BR apartment worth of furniture pieces only. I prepared the items to go with flagging tape to make the job easier for the loaders. They started by calling to say they are going to be 1.5 hours late. Fine - I didn't make a huge deal. When they show up I walk through the whole job with them, showing everything thats going and tagged, etc. They said fine, they start. They seem to be moving slowly. 30 minutes in I hear a crash. one of the movers is on his cell phone while taking apart my solid cherrywood four poster bed! - the canopy rail drops to the floor and the wooden peg that holds it in place is now broken. I had asked them if they had the proper tape and supplies with them to get the mattress bags taped completely closed in the normal, professional manner of good movers. They began to act like that was a big burden. They put 4 pieces of tape to close the bag instead of completely taping it the proper way. They did not carry the mattress in a professional way of experienced movers, but sort of slung it down the stairs. Then they said they had to go to the hardware store. They left. one hour goes by. I call and call. finally they pick up and tell me they are not coming back - they have an issue with cat fur and dust.
Full disclosure - I do have two very furry indoor cats and there was a lot of cat hair. We've been packing in boxes for weeks - some things going to storage, some moving to new house, some going to Good Will. the result being that we can't vacuum up all the fur with all the boxes around. If the movers felt that they couldn't handle the job the professional thing to do is to state that right away and to tell me that they can't do the job. But they chose instead to lie right to my face and then to hang me up for an additional hour on top of the hour and a half they were late. And they left their soda cans in my driveway, truck open, furniture in street. I call the owner who tells me that he has to call back. To give him credit he does call back. I tell him what his workers are like. He tells me that OSHA has certain laws and rules and he has to be very careful with them. So if anyone thinks of using them and you might have dust under the bed and cat hair around be forewarned. Make sure you have a spotless house so the workers don't just walk out when you really need a truck loaded.
P.S. They claimed they got flea bites. My son is allergic to fleas and we keep both cats (indoor) and our very cute Chocolate Lab flea and tick treated every month, and we have the vet records to prove how carefully we take care of our pets. So if you have pets, or if you want the job completed, use someone else!
P.S. Also now discovered they broke the bannister to my outdoor staircase! and they placed it balanced just so it wouldn't be noticeable, until they were gone. This is the kind of worker you get with Sunseri. I have photos of damage.
