  • The name implies this Fox Restaurant Concepts is big on salads, and that conclusion would not be wrong. The menu is somewhat limited. There are not a lot of choices if you do not want a salad. However, the entrees my wife and I had were just outstanding! She had the French dip and it might be the best one either of us ever tasted. The tender beef slices had a genuine barbeque (I mean "cooking" barbeque not sauce) smoky aroma and taste to them, as if the roast had just come off the grill, with the crusty edges done just right. Combined with the au jus and bun this item was full of flavor and seasoned to near perfection. Be sure to try this entrĂ©e. I had the fish and chips. Normally I would have eaten only half the order and taken the rest in a to-go box, but it was so good I can't believe I ate the whole thing! The coating was nice and crunchy and remained so throughout the meal. The fish, ID'd by our server as "rock fish", was moist, tender, and flavorful. The fish nearly melted in my mouth. I would come back for this again and again. I cannot say enough about our server, Sarah. She might be the best server we have had anywhere in sometime. Not only was she friendly and pleasant, but she was very knowledgeable about the menu and so attentive, to the tiniest detail. At one point I knocked my knife off the table. No big deal, I'll just ask for another. By the time I got that thought in my head, she was there presenting my another knife, carefully cradled in a napkin. How she heard that knife hit the floor is beyond me because this restaurant, like other Fox RC facilitlies, lacks any acoustical dampening; it can get loud in there. Sarah also brought my wife an extra straw and it, too, was cradled in a napkin. Sarah filled our water and tea glasses without us ever having to ask. She was there at the appropriate times to ask how we were doing and if we needed anything. Her timing is impeccable as we never felt she was intruding on us at all. Although we were both full, she recommended their Chocolate Mocha Bar desert, promising we would like it. Sarah tells no lies. It might be the best desert we have had in years. Two rectangle logs of creamy ganache coated with decadently rich dark chocolate resting on dusted cocoa powder and accented with raspberries soon arrived at our table. OMG! Thank Gawd we only ordered one or I'd be headed to the store to buy bigger pants! It was so good, it would be worth it to go to the Greene House just for that. If you go, ask if Sarah is working and sit in her station. You won't be disappointed. Fox RC knows how to get it right and they did here. PS: I forgot to mention in my original review that, because it was our first visit, Sarah comped our desert!!! How amazing is that?!?!? You want to have repeat customers, treat them like this and offer great food at reasonable prices.
