This was my first time dining at any of Wolfgang's restaurant and it definitely won't be my last either.
My boyfriend decided to take me here for our one month anniversary. I was really excited to try this place out, since I heard so many good reviews about his food.
The food, service, and ambiance was perfect. I wouldn't have it any other way.
We started our dinner with half a dozen of fresh oysters (Beausoleil Oysters). I am extremely picky with my seafood, especially if they are oysters. I absolutely can't stand oysters that aren't fresh! I'm the type of person who usually never sends back food unless it is raw or not fresh.
Their oysters were so fresh and I couldn't stop eating it. If you have chance you should try out their sauces. I typically only eat my oysters with a squeeze of lemon, but I decided to be spontaneous and tried their red wine mignonette. It was so refreshing and interesting to try something different.
For entrees we got the spicy linguine and wild mushroom pappardelle.
I highly recommend trying both if you're craving for pasta. The amount of shrimp was perfectly proportional, usually places like to serve you three to four shrimps per pasta, but Spago doesn't play. The wild mushroom was super creamy and well seasoned. The mushroom was cooked to the right texture, not too hard or spongy.
The only reason why I didn't give five stars was the wait time between appetizer and entree was fairly long. It took 20 minutes to get both of entrees out when the restaurant was pretty slow.
Regardless, I can't wait to come back here to try his other dishes. I highly recommend that you check this place out if you happen to be near Caesar's Palace.
