| - We brought a group of 4 friends to play this game for the first time, and we were looking forward to having a fun experience with each other, as this was our Chtistmas present to each other.
It turned our to be an awful experience because we were placed in the room with a family of 4 with 2 teen girls. They had done this before, and so they ran around grabbing everything and as soon as the first box was unlocked, they proceeded to grab and monopolize the materials between the 4 of themselves, effectively locking us out of participation. Each box of materials allowed them to advance and we could NOT catch up or participate. They were unbelievably inconsiderate, but then, there was NOTHING in the structure of the game requiring THEM to collaborate!
I feel incredibly ripped off by this experience. If a group of friends books this room to have this experience together, they absolutely should allow them to solve the puzzle as a single unit, instead of making them compete with another group or family who may have ZERO interest in collaborating!
If you go as a group, don't allow them to place you with another group, unless YOU greatly outnumber THEM (at least 6 to 2). Otherwise, it's a waste of time and money.
