| - This is a new store in a new shopping center, the 1st Shopping Center on your left south of the 215. The store's size betrays the huge selection once you enter and they do all kinds of floors, carpet, tile, cement, counters, cabinets to fit any needs from professional, commercial to home. Clara is the owner and her son works with her along with a super great, friendly and professionally competent staff. We had carpet removed and a wood plank looking tile laid in our front den, dining, living room and my TV/Office/Den with closet. The crew was highly skilled but we had difficulty with the salesman and the cleanness? on our job. We spoke with the owner, Clara Napalitano. She was instantly responsive, so much so when we decided to install more of this tile in our master bedroom? and closets we returned. The former salesman no longer worked there and Clara dealt directly with us. This time the crew was exemplary and highly professional. So much so we had a 20" x 40" tile that (to me) looks a bit like a Persian Rug, installed from baseboard to ceiling on the rear wall behind our bed in our master bedroom? and it has drawn rave reviews from everyone who has seen it. As for our tile floors they installed, ?everyone thinks they are real wood until they step on them.
On one occasion I had stopped in the store briefly and left. When I got home, after a number of stops I discovered I had lost the money from my trouser pocket (a very shallow pocket). As I had visited a great many places I wrote it off and prepared to tell my wife. The phone rang and it was Clara asking it I might have dropped some money while in her store. She had discovered $64 in folded bills lying on the floor of her office and had remembered my sitting at that spot earlier. A rare and refreshing kind of honesty in today's world but only what I've come to expect from Clara and her entire group! But then it may be because we are both from Illinois the Land of Lincoln and remember his walking from New Salem to Springfield to return a few pennies he had overcharged a customer!
