Went to Papaya Thai for the first time with some friends on a Saturday night. I say that because of one really weird thing that happened - we were the only customers in there the entire time! I don't think I've ever experienced that. Especially on a Saturday night. his does not bode well for Papaya Thai, which is too bad because the food was pretty good.
I'm kind of a wimp when it comes to Thai food. I go mild all the way and sometimes even that can be too much. I decided to order veggies and chicken, (can't remember the name) mild, of course. The portion was large - lots of broccoli, carrots, bamboo shoots and potatoes (odd). There were too many onions for my taste but not a huge deal. The sauce was flavorful and even though I got mild there was still a bit of a kick. Mixed with some rice I was good to go. The leftovers reheated nicely the following night too.
My friends got curry, much hotter and they were pleased with the heat factor.
Overall we all really liked our food, the server was friendly and the place seemed clean. Hopefully they can drum up some business and stay open long enough for me to go back.
