As a girl who knows NOTHING about cars, I am terrified of mechanics.
I'll make the back story short and sweet- I bought a used car, brought it to a dealer, and they gave me a list of about $1000 worth of repairs that needed to be done- YIKES! The thing is, I have heard many a horror story of mechanics ripping off naive customers and so was wary in believing them. I asked friends and scoured Yelp for a referral as I wanted a second opinion and decided to try out Daley's (and specifically the mechanic there named Brad).
Anyways, I brought my car in and the mechanic insisted I stay so that he could actually show me what was wrong and what wasn't. After my car was up on the hoist (is that the right term?) he brought me in and pointed out the few issues he saw and then pointed out the things that the dealer had claimed were a problem but actually weren't! This is what really sets this mechanic apart from others I have been to- normally these guys just want your blind faith, sending you to a secluded a waiting room. After I gave a thumbs up on the repairs, I went and had a coffee, and came back to a car that was in an awesome like-new state for literally 1/4 of the price! Needless to say I will be bringing my car back there for anything and everything.
