This Flying Saucer was a bit different than the one in Raleigh, to my surprise. The set up is mostly the same, maybe a bit smaller than Raleigh, but I was expecting the same menu.
They did not have my go-to, the "Kick Ass Chicken Sandwich" on the menu (so good!).. They did have burgers though which is something Raleigh does not have. Most of them sounded pretty good too. I ended up ordering the Saucer Dipster with fries & ranch for dipping. The sandwich was great! A heavy portion of tasty roast beef and the horseradish mayo was a nice touch. Perfect with the Au Jus! The fries left a bit to be desired though and the ranch was basically Hidden Valley, store bought.
I also ordered a local North Carolina flight of beers which was a cool menu option. Our waitress was great. She was really sweet and made sure we always had what we needed. I think they were having issues with the music though. It was really loud and scratchy sounding at times. I'm not talking like old people don't like "loud" restaurants either.. It was uncomfortably loud.
Just a quick tip.. I did not order them this time, but if the pretzels are the same as in Raleigh.. They are life changing with the queso and mustard! The mustard is spicy and a game changer.
