Got a lovely and totally unique arrangement for Valentine's Day. My wife doesn't like roses, and is particular about color. They hit it out of the park!
I described in rough terms what I was after. No roses, something unique and memorable, not like a bouquet from the supermarket. I gave them a color pallet and a (generous) budget. They took the direction and went to work.
What I got was in fact an arrangement both impressive and enduring. A flourish of color, demarcated by sprigs of green and pea, all together in a wide compostable box. All shades of reds and yellows and peach with species both rare and literally far-fetched. Not cheap, but an investment well-rewarded by the reaction I got at home. The flowers lasted much longer than a standard pre-cut bundle, and looked nice for a couple of weeks at least. They did not even need to be watered but once, thanks to the substrate in the box.
I expect to return to Hepatica next year, come February. I look forward to seeing what they do next time.
