We were in town and just needed a place to sleep. We didn't plan on spending any time really in the room so for the price it was a good fit. We called to see if we could check in early and was rudely told no. Even with a reservation! They didn't even ask for the name or anything. At least fake it act like you are looking into it or something. When we arrived we were hardly greeted and a welcome smile would have been nice. It was just strictly business. What ever. Minor detail. But you are in the hospitality industry.
It is right behind a gentleman's club and at night it's pretty noisy. You can hear people outside talking. Down the hall from us someone was HEAVILY smoking marijuana, probably 24/7 and had people routinely coming in and out. The whole second floor staircase reeked!!!! But the outside stairwells were locked and you need key access which is nice.
The room looks like it was smoking and now is non smoking. It smells stale and the walls are yellowish and there are cigarette burns on the floor and one on the comforter. The fire alarm is also covered in a bag. One of our latches were broken on the door. The ceiling in the bathroom is covered in mold and looks like it's going to cave in.
The breakfast was of average hotel standards. Waffles, bagels, eggs, sausage gravy, biscuits, cereal, all that with a 95 health inspection. IHOP is right in front of that's more your style.
All in all I would not stay here again. Sketchy location. Smelly and old dilapidated rooms. Not the friendliest of staff. I wouldn't mind paying an extra $15-$20 to stay at the Hilton or Marriott.
