I recently moved a bunch of my stuff into DVP storage. I was looking at several storage places in the neighbourhood and this one simply had the most competitive pricing. That's basically what it came down to. They had units that were available immediately in the size that I wanted, and no one else could beat the price. The woman on the phone when I was inquiring was so friendly and helpful, she even warned me that management was looking into increasing the pricing in a few months, but not to worry as it was only by approx. $10/mth. So honest!
No I can't access my thing 24hrs a day, but do i really need to? The location is perfect, being the closest to my new apartment.
There are three levels of storage units in this facility. At first I was disappointed when they gave me a unit in the lover level. But after moving in and looking around, it doesn't really matter what level you are on anyways, it's not like there are windows for a great view. All i really need is a safe, secure place to store some of my stuff. My unit is pretty close to the elevator, so it's really quite convenient. The elevator is one of those neat old service elevators where you have to pull a cage across and hold down the button to make it work. It's sturdy and big enough for a couple carts of stuff. Another perk? Free use of big carts when you are bring stuff in or out. They had several and there was always one available when I needed one.
I didn't find the ramp dangerous at all. There is a wire mesh on it, but it's secured andn I didn't find it slippery. When I load/unload my things I just drive right up to the dock and it's perfect truck height. I didn't even need to use the ramp for loading at all.
