  • I can't speak for other VCA locations, but Elliot Park is the worst vet clinic I have ever encountered. I took my Australian Shepard mix in for dew claw removal, and was quoted a price of 700.00, which was confirmed on three different occasions. After paying 90.00 up front for blood work, I dropped off my dog for the procedure the next day. Shortly after leaving, the clinic called to say they had misquoted the price of the surgery (3 separate times), and it would now be over 1100.00 dollars for the surgery. I was told my dog was in the operating room, sedated, and I needed to immediately confirm that I would be paying the new price. When I asked if I could call back so I would be able to see what my options were, the receptionist was annoyed and told me that the doctor was waiting. I really felt like I was being pressured to make a quick, uninformed decision. I called another vet clinic right after hanging up and they quoted me an approx. 700.00 price for few claw removal. Needless to say I didn't go through with the procedure at VCA Elliot Park...but had a sedated dog to take care of and was out 90.00 for my trouble. THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE FELT LIKE A SCAM. With as many great vet clinics in the greater PHX area that we have to choose from, I would never recommend VCA Elliot Park to anyone, nor will I be giving them my business ever again. Why would you settle for anything less than exemplary service when it comes to your pet???
