| - From the moment of my initial phone call to set the appointment, the customer service and general kindness of the staff was impeccable. This was my very first dress appointment so I was nervous and can be and had a lot of questions, but my sweet stylist Tasha was so sweet and excited with my five bridesmaids & mother, (we made sure to tell the receptionist of our #s before coming in, so I'm assuming she was prepared for a group) and definitely knew her stuff. She let us comb thru every rack in the warehouse before taking 15+ dresses in the back to try on. As we tried on and eliminated styles that didn't quite work with my body type, Tasha removed similar dresses from the list so that we could manage our time best. I have to say this place has something for everybody, and their sale (all dresses marked down $1700 and less) was a real winner for us! We got to bring in our own champagne, and Tasha brought over glasses, a towel, and an ice bucket, and there were plenty of snacks, water, and soda for our almost 2.5 hour appointment. We found THE DRESS and were so thrilled!
I give 4 stars because of an incident that 100% could have been handled differently. My sweet bridesmaids and I were the first group in the store that day and so took the liberty of splitting two of the eight or so sofas offered in front of the bridal podiums. Each sofa sits about three people, so to get a tad closer to the podium for a moment, two of my girls sat on the floor. One stayed on the second sofa guarding purses and jackets while they waited for me to come out with another dress on. This was about 3/4 of the way thru the appointment, so by this time everybody was sitting and chatting quietly in this corner to be respectful of the other brides they noticed filling out the other spaces. The store manager approached the girls for the first time to inform them that there were more brides coming in soon, and that they needed to squeeze into one sofa only. "Excuse me girls, we have brides waiting so you'll all need to make some room. We need this sofa here. Thanks" Mind you, two girls are already on the floor, so she was basically asking a third to do the same. Her demeanor and tone was extremely unnecessary. One of my girls said one single word, "Ohh..." and stood to make room. The manager turned sharply and pointed "Did you have something to say?" When nobody replied (because who wouldn't be shocked) she replied "Good," turned and walked away.
My mother immediately went to the front desk to ask for the store manager, and low and behold the rude lady was her, so a complaint wouldn't have gone far. I have to say, working in the customer service industry my entire life, I completely understand the dynamic a large group brings. Had our # been an issue, perhaps the receptionist should have mentioned at the time of our booking or even when we arrived that there would be too many appointments overlapping with ours to accommodate for x amount of time. We got none of this, and truly didn't appreciate a grown woman speaking to other grown women with unwarranted disrespect, especially on a day that's supposed to be special and fun.
The dresses here are beautiful and aside from this one awful woman, appointment was lovely. I would hope should another large party be welcomed, perhaps speaking to them with kindness would go further.
