  • We are extremely unhappy with the way they price the tour. Basically, at the time of reservation and handing in credit card number, they gave small fine print talking about fuel surcharge without providing the exact amount. After they got the credit card number, they charge whatever fuel surcharge they want and tour cancellation costs $35 per person. This is ridiculous, to me; it is nothing different than the credit card fraud. We were looking for Grand Canyon south rim tour from Las Vegas. This company has quite some good reviews, so we decided to book the tour with them. On their website, they price was clearly given in bold red letter, but there are some fine print talking about the fuel surcharge. During the reservation process, they do talk about the fuel surcharge, but the price was not given. In the end, we gave the credit card number and received reservation email. In the email, there is no mention of the fuel surcharge and price was the price quoted on their website. The next day, we received a confirmation email in which there was additional $9 fuel surcharge for each person. We called the company twice; they do not care at all. They gave all kinds of excuse. They claimed that we agreed to the fuel surcharge, and blamed that we should call them to ask about the fuel surcharge. Then they were talking about why they could not give the total cost clearly online because of the fluctuation of fuel price. All these make no sense to me, there are so many businesses whose cost of operation are affected by the fuel price, but I have never seen an open price at the time I give my credit card. In the end, they basically said, since I gave them the credit card, they can charge whatever they feel needed. $9 is not a big amount, what really infuriated me is the way how they practice it and how they handle the customers. There is absolutely no excuse why they cannot give clear and firm price online. For me, the way how they price it online humiliates customers and is absolutely unacceptable. To be fair to the company, the tour is okay. The bus driver is good too. But we will never use, and does not recommend to, use this company at all. We need more honesty, sadly, honesty is going away gradually.
