| - My friends recommended this place to me because of their unique bruschetta. I know how to make bruschetta at home and I thought to myself, 'What's so special about it? It's just chopped up tomatoes, onions with olive oil, basil and balsamic." But this place definitely takes bruschetta to a new level, they try different combinations to keep it interesting!
So I had to check it out with my friend on a hot day in the Valley.
This place has misters outside and it was nice and cool inside. We just came back from the heat so coming inside felt nice. We came here on a Sunday in the late afternoon and early evening, probably around 4pm. So it wasn't too busy.
I was so thirsty so I asked for a cup of water and they were excellent in constantly refilling my water.
We were impressive with the price of the bruschetta. We thought they are reasonably priced.
We ordered: Prosciutto with Figs and Mascarpone, Smoked Salmon with Pesto, Ricotta with Dates and Pistachios and Brie & Apples with Fig spread.
My favorite is between the Smoked Salmon with Pesto and the Brie & Apples with Fig spread. I feel like you can't ever go wrong with smoked salmon and pesto! I like the brie and apples with fig spread because it had a sweet, tangy but sour taste. It was a great combination of flavors.
The ricotta with dates and pistachios is sweet with a slight crunch from the nuts
I felt like the prosciutto with figs and mascarpone, I love all these items separately but together they didn't quite go together. Prosciutto is delicious but with the figs and mascarpone, the flavors didn't blend quite the way I like it.
The bread was a little crunchy/crispy so it did scratch the top of my mouth a little. I would like it if the bread (especially) the crust was a little more soft.
+Great, unique bruschetta! Come for it, try all the different flavors to see what combination you like!
