In my first year with trade wind I had no issues but as we have moved into the second year under a lease with them; well I'm less than satisfied. I have to remind the receptionist each and every month that my lease allows me to pay rent on the 5th of every month but when I go to submit my money order she tells me "looks like you have late fees" and I have to remind her to please note my account and read my lease, I am not late.
My a/c went out last summer & I called emergency maintenance several times and left voicemails urging them to please have someone come out and fix our A/C because I have a baby & elderly man in our home. 4 hours later I received an email saying someone will be contacting me within the hour to repair the A/C. The email was sent from an iPhone and I find it very rude that I couldn't receive a phone call telling me the same thing they sent in an email. I pay a large amount of money every month on time and yet I'm not good enough for a phone call to ease my worries.
Going into the second year of our lease they have raised the rent because "the property value went up" but all amenities of my home do not work and they fail to keep me up to date on repairs. When I mention to them that I would like a proper working fire place, they act as if it's the first time I've made this request & I can assure you, it is not. They always tell me "we will contact the home owner and give you an update ASAP" well three months later, I still have yet to receive an update about my fireplace but continue to pay the increased amount of rent. I also had holes in my garage from the time we moved in and were told they would repair them once we moved in. Well two years later and lots of phone calls, our dry wall did get repaired but they did not feel the need to pay for paint so the job is still unfinished but at least there is no more insulation hanging out of the walls. I am not planning on renting with this company much longer than my lease requires.
