  • My cat Sassy (and I) usually have a horrible experience at the vet. She gets so upset that they have to muzzle her as well as wrap her body in a towel so she can't scratch or bite anyone. I have even been asked by vet techs if she is a feral cat (which she isn't). Having just moved to AZ from WI I obviously needed a new vet. I figured why not give a mobile vet a try. It honestly could not be worse then what I was accustomed to. Dr. Townsley just came to my home this morning and I have been sharing my experience with people all day!!! I think that I am still in shock...not only was he able to fully examine Sassy but there was not one hiss, growl or kick! He really connected with her...took time to let her get to know him and I am convinced that he "spoke" to her. Have you ever watched "My Cat From Hell'? Dr. Townsley communicated with her in a way that reminded me of Jackson Galaxy :) He is more then a vet....he truly has a unique way with animals. After the exam we sat and talked for about 20 minutes and he answered any questions I had. He is extremely knowledgeable. I believe that his prices are very reasonable. You don't have to put your pet under all of that unnecessary stress, they come to you. To me, that alone is worth the price. He did mention that he will treat more then one animal in a visit and only charge once for the house call which is great and unheard of! In the past if I brought 2 cats anywhere I got charged for 2 visits. I am actually shocked at the review that was written 2 days earlier because my experience was 100% opposite. I have already decided that Dr. Townsley is our new vet and will see our other 2 cats as well.
