It could be ideal for working/journalling/daydreaming if there was more (and more comfortable) seating, but i can imagine this is a strategy to prevent it from becoming a rec centre for the moms, nannies and preschoolers that frequent the park across the street. The soy latte I am sipping is yummy and the baked goods look really tempting. Patrons are left to take their time while Joe sits in a Muskoka chair out front, quickly jumping up to respond to any visitors. Unfortunately, he seems to be an unofficial public washroom for playground patrons; would it really kill them to buy some water or something? Or to use the washrooms at the playhouse? He is more gracious about it than I would be.
I like Sunny Joe's unpretentious and gracious atmosphere. Wifi access is yours for the asking, a nice range of coffees, teas and baked goods, good working area if you can handle sitting on bar stools. So far, mostly kid-free.
