So today I bought a 5.8 cu. ft. freezer. My son had to take time out of his busy schedule to help me transport it and set it up. Upon receiving it the big box had no damage on the outside. Opening the top, all the styrofoam was in tact and unbroken. But once we got the box torn off and as we were putting it in place I noticed a huge dent on the top back corner. Like it was turned upside down and dropped on that corner. There are also scratches on both sides of the freezer. This definitely isn't a NEW freezer. It was packed damaged, or else the styrofoam that protected the top would have been broken easily! So I call the store and they wanted me to return it to the store for replacement. It is really hard for me to track down help at my age to do things like this and because of bad business practices. Or, they wanted $70 for delivery. They should have delivered it for free as they are selling used products as new. If I wanted used I would have gone on Craigslist!!!!! So they gave me $30 off. Original price was $220. I took it because of the hassle. Because I had to let it sit for several hours I didn't even know if it worked at that point. I will be returning it and complaining to the Better Business Bureau for selling used products as new and inconveniencing me because of it. WHAT A SCAM!!!!!
