rev:text	I feel like this is a decent apartment complex. I was so nervous about all of the negative reviews, but I feel like people are expecting perfection from a large complex that allows pets and short-term leases. Believe me, I've lived in many other Vegas complexes in the past and it is usually a bummer all around-APARTMENT LIVING, aka, living amongst strangers. Different people have different complaints & issues, but I feel like the people you live around can make or break an apartment (ex., people not picking up their dog shit, someone hitting your car, someone taking your spot, etc.). Overall, I feel Jeff made our cross-country move painless, we were able to get a 3 month lease & have our dog (which both items were impossible to find elsewhere), maintenance has come immediately for any issues, it is always very quiet, & the grounds at least on A side are nicely kept up. Yes the pools could be a lot nicer. We went to 2 other complexes that yes, had nicer pools, but both had well known SCORPION infestations in many apartments. I stepped on a freaking scorpion body IN the leasing office--and they wanted $1300 monthly for a 1 bedroom in a not-so-nice area. So you have to weigh out the pros and cons of everywhere, and know that you are not going to get the fucking TAJ MAHAL in a complex that offers a reasonable rent amount, a short-term lease, and allows dogs, and in LAS VEGAS. Duh...have you seen the people walking down the streets of Vegas...in ANY area?? There isn't a perfect area, but I do love the Lakes. P.S.-I am pretty sure that Allanza didn't put a frickin dead body in the dumpster either.
